Bronco to take over Defense again for BYU

The 2014 football season was a crazy one for BYU players, coaches, and fans alike. Fans were definitely frustrated with the way things were going and were even calling for the firing of head coach, Bronco Mendenhall. Anger and frustration persisted until things changed towards the end of the season. There was a firestorm on twitter with the popular #FireBronco.

For me, I was especially frustrated with the defensive play throughout the entire year. For the past 2-3 years BYU football fans have be fortunate to be able to watch a stout BYU defense. The defense in those past years were full of grit and meanness. It was because Bronco was making the play calls! To think that someone like Nick Howell, who had no prior coaching experience other than his other positions at BYU, could coach an entire defense is not the brightest move. He didn't even play football.

Being that Bronco is taking over the defense again should bring a sigh of relief to the fans of BYU football. Hopefully order is restored and we can get back to watching a nasty BYU defense. Here is to the 2015 season! Countdown to Nebraska has started!
